Hi Adam, Just downloaded the trial of 3D and when I choose to use iTunes for a timeline nothing is imported. Anonymous - 8:19 AMĪdam, That Keynote advice is fantastic! Great tip! Thanks very much. Interesting update, but i think it really needs, in 3D, to allow you to look both ways, not just into the future. How about designing a runtime for iPhone ? Plug your iPhone to a video projector and use tactil screen to navigate. Plus with Keynote you can intersperse what ever else you'd like too (bullets, other videos, etc.) Going backwards through the slides won't work very well with this technique and I'm not sure how it will export to PowerPoint, but it would probably work well for certain situations. If you set the ranges to be consecutive, you can get the Keynote presentation to look like a movie but wait for your click between each event. Finally, for each slide use the inspector to set the start and end range of the section of movie that you'd like to play. I believe that the movie itself is stored only one time in the Keynote document when you do this, so the file doesn't get too gigantic though even one high definition video can be pretty large by itself. They use the "Duplicate" command to make as many slides with the movie as you would like (one for each event?). What you want to do is export a high definition version of the video, then drag the video onto a Keynote slide and adjust the positioning the way you'd like. Kerry, I did some experimenting with using QuickTime movies with Keynote when I designed the export features and it can work well, but I decided not to automate it this way for a number of reasons. So that's a feature request - however, I really love it, and am thrilled with this release! Easily worth the upgrade price, absolutely! Thanks, Kerry. This fiddling could be facilitated if there were an option to export to QuickTime that would produce separate movies for each transition. Therefore, in Keynote I'll fiddle with exporting to QuickTime in order to place the QT movie into Keynote to serve as the transition. However, I will not use the Keynote export feature, and here's why: If I make the transition from one event to the next in Keynote, the animation is not nearly as interesting as the animation that is built in to Timeline. That's one of the main reasons I upgraded so quickly, because I often give presentations that are divided into segments according to a timeline. I love it! The export to Keynote is a nice touch, too. Thanks! Anonymous - 5:40 PMĭaniel, any plans for Flash export? Anonymous - 6:19 PM Upgrade policy? In most cases, you will want to populate the content of a LabelList (or other similar components like PosterGrids, etc.) from a content feed, web service API, or some other dynamic data source. The list items can be organized into sections that are demarcated by labelled horizontal divider lines between the sections. Each item can include a text string and an optional icon positioned to the left of the text string. The LabelList node class is a simple list class that can be used to display a list of items.
